Filters and views in shift rotations

In shift rotations in Capitech Flow, you can use filters to display specific departments, projects, employees, or employee groups. You can also use display options to show original working hours, custom colors, and custom sorting.

What can you filter by in shift rotations?

Above the shift rotation, you can set filters to limit what is shown in the plan.

You can filter by:

  • department
  • project
  • employee
  • employee group

This makes it easier to work with large shift rotations, especially if the shift rotation contains many employees, departments, or projects.

How to reset filters

If a filter has been set in the shift rotation, you can remove it again with the Reset option.

Use Reset when you want to return to the standard view without filtering.

How to save a filter

If you often use the same filter, you can save it.

How to do it:

  1. Set the filter you want in the shift rotation.
  2. Click Save.
  3. Give the filter a name.
  4. Use the saved filter the next time you want to show the same selection.

This is useful if you often work with the same department, project, employee group, or selection of employees.

The saved filter can be used in shift rotations, operational plan, dashboard, among other modules.

When custom sorting is enabled, you get separate fields for setting the preferred sorting for employees.

To change the sorting, click the pencil icon to the left of the employees.

When should you use filters and viewing options?

You should use filters and viewing options when you want to:

  • find the right employee faster
  • work with one department at a time
  • see only employees in a specific employee group
  • check shifts linked to a project
  • see changes in working time
  • use colors for a better overview
  • sort employees in an order that fits your workflow

Important to remember

  • Filters only change what you see in the shift rotation.
  • Filters do not delete or change shifts.
  • Saved filters make it faster to open the same view later.
  • Viewing options control how the shift rotation is shown on screen.
