Client Settings - Dimensions
You can find the tab here:
Admin → Client Settings → Dimensions
Register
Under Register, you select which dimensions can be used for time registration.
These can include:
- location
- department
- task
- order
- project
- subproject
- phases
- competence
When a dimension is enabled here, it can be used for time registrations where relevant.
Shift work
Under Shift work, you specify whether to use the shift dimension.
Shift is used to ensure that an employee’s time registration is matched with the correct calculation rule. The shift is determined by the time at which the employee clocks in.
If you enable work shift tracking, you can specify how long the terminal should remember which shift the employee first clocked in for. This can be useful if the employee clocks in again later during the same work session.
Our consultants configure shifts based on your requirements and needs. This feature is only available for registrations made on FAS12 terminals.
Contact us at support@capitech.no if you need help configuring shifts or adjusting your current setup.
Incomplete registrations
Under Incomplete registrations, you specify how registrations that have a clock-out but no clock-in should appear in Hours.
You can choose between two viewing options:
Show in Hours when filtering on warnings
The registrations only appear when you filter for time entries with the warning icon.
Show in Hours, with or without filter on warnings
The registrations appear both in the normal view in Hours and when you filter for time entries with the warning icon.
Free Dimensions
Under Free dimensions, you can enable and name free dimension 1 and free dimension 2.
You can use free dimensions if you need custom dimensions in addition to the standard options in Capitech Flow.
Project estimate
Under Project estimate, you can enable the use of project estimates.
You can also define up to four fields for use on projects. For example, these fields can be used to specify the budgeted number of hours required to complete a project.
To add this to a project, go to Admin → Dimensions → Project and select Estimate active for the relevant projects.
Mandatory fields
Under Mandatory fields, you select which dimensions are required when registering hours in My Capitech and Capitech Flow.
If a required dimension has not been completed, the registration cannot be saved.
For example, you can use this setting if a department, project, or task must always be included in time registrations.
Personal additions
Under Personal additions, you can specify whether personal additions can be added to employees in the employee register in Capitech Flow.
Hour distribution is used to calculate hours based on time worked.
Time category is used to calculate a fixed quantity for a time category, regardless of time worked.
Assign manager
Under Assign manager, you can enable the option to activate assignment for:
- a project
- a department
- an employee
When this option is enabled, the manager appears as an available selection in the relevant parts of the system, either in the employee register or in the dimension menus for departments and projects.
The manager assigned to a project, department, or employee receives notifications about absence requests. The manager can also apply a separate Manager for filter in the different modules in Flow.
Enable geolocation
When geolocation is enabled, My Capitech can request permission to access the user’s location when they register time.
This can be used to add the location to the time registration automatically.
The user must allow location sharing on their device for this to work.
Locations are created under Admin → Dimensions → Location.
