How are breaks calculated in Capitech?
What does this cover?
Capitech can automatically deduct breaks from calculated hours.
Break settings may, for example, be configured as:
- breaks at fixed times
- breaks after a certain number of hours have been worked
How breaks are deducted depends on your organization’s settings.
How can breaks be configured?
Break settings may be configured so that:
- breaks are deducted at specific times during the day
- breaks are only deducted after a certain number of working hours has been reached
- breaks are deducted from specific types of hours
Break deductions may therefore work differently for different customers.
Can breaks also vary between groups?
Yes. Break calculations may form part of the overall logic in the calculation rules.
This means that different employee groups or types of settings may handle breaks differently if this has been configured for your organization.
When is this relevant to you?
You should review the break settings if you:
- find that too much or too little break time is being deducted
- want different rules for automatic break deductions
- have changed your working time arrangements
- need breaks to be handled differently for different groups
How to get started
