Remove employee from operational plan

You can remove an employee from the view in the operational plan in Capitech Flow when the employee has no shifts in the period. If the employee has shifts, you must first delete the shift or remove the assignment from the shifts.

What does it mean to remove an employee from the operational plan?

Removing an employee from the operational plan means that the employee is removed from the current view in the plan.

This does not delete the employee from Capitech Flow. It only removes the person from the operational plan view for the period you are working with.

This is often done if the employee should no longer be included in the plan, or if their employment ends.

When can you remove an employee from the operational plan?

You can remove an employee from the operational plan when the employee has no shifts in the period.

If the employee still has shift, you must handle the shifts first.

If the employee has shifts

If the employee has shifts in the period, you can choose between two options:

Option

Used when

Delete shifts from - to date

You want to remove the shifts completely from the operational plan.

Unassign shifts from - to date

You want to keep the shifts in the operational plan, but remove the employee from the shifts.

Delete shifts from - to date

Use Delete shifts from - to date when the shifts should no longer be in the operational plan.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the employee’s name in the operational plan.
  2. Select Delete shifts from - to date.
  3. Select the period the shifts should be deleted for.
  4. Confirm the deletion.

Once the shifts have been deleted, you can remove the employee from the operational plan.

Remove assignment from - to date

Use Unassign shifts from - to date when the shifts should still remain in the operational plan, but should not be assigned to the employee.

This is useful if the shifts should be assigned to:

  • substitutes
  • other employees

Here's how to do it:

  1. Click the employee’s name in the operational plan.
  2. Select Unassign shifts from - to date.
  3. Select the period the assignment should be removed for.
  4. Confirm the change.

The shifts will then remain in the operational plan, but without the employee as the assigned person.
