Submit a duty wish for a period
What is a duty wish?
A duty wish tells your manager that you would like to work shifts during a specific period.
Your manager can see your preference in Flow Plan and use it when planning or assigning duties.
How to submit a duty wish
- Go to the calendar in My Capitech.
- Select a relevant day in the calendar.
- Select the green box on the right-hand side that says Duty wish.
- Choose whether the preference applies to one day or a date range.
- If needed, limit the preference to specific departments, days, or duty types.
- Add a note or comment if you want to.
- Specify whether you can accept duties with less than 24 hours’ notice.
- Save the duty preference.
How can you limit your duty wish?
You can limit your duty wish if you only want specific types of duties.
For example, you can select:
- one specific department
- multiple departments
- specific days
- specific duty types
- a date range
- whether you can accept duties with less than 24 hours’ notice
This makes it easier for your manager to see which duties you are interested in.
What can your manager see?
Your manager can see your duty wish in Flow Plan. If you added a comment, it is shown with the wish.
Remember to delete duty preferences that no longer apply
If you are no longer available to work duties during the period, you should delete the duty preference.
This prevents your manager from planning based on a preference that is no longer valid.
