Free dimension 1

What is free dimension 1?

Free dimension 1 is a custom dimension in Capitech Flow.

This means that the dimension can be given a name that matches the terminology your organization already uses.

Free dimension 1 and free dimension 2 can be enabled, named, and used for relevant needs in your organization.

Where do you find free dimension 1?

You can find free dimension 1 here:

Admin - Dimensions - [Name of free dimension 1]

The name displayed in the menu depends on what your organization has named the dimension.

Example

In one setup, free dimension 1 may be named Type.

The menu option will then be displayed as:

Admin - Dimensions - Type

This is only an example. The name and use of free dimension 1 may vary between organizations.

Create a new row

To create a new row in free dimension 1:

1. Go to Admin - Dimensions - [Name of free dimension 1]
2. Click the plus icon in the upper-left corner
3. Enter the required information
4. Click Save

Edit or deactivate a row

To edit a row, click its name to open it.

For example, you can:

• change the name
• deactivate the row if it should no longer be used

Delete a row

You can only delete a row if it is not in use.

To delete a row:

1. Go to Admin - Dimensions - [Name of free dimension 1]
2. Click the three dots to the left of the row
3. Click the trash can icon

If the row has been used, you should deactivate it instead.

Colors for a free dimension in the operational plan

You can select colors for this dimension and enable them in the operational plan.

This makes it easier to see the different types of duties in the plan across employees and dates.

To display the colors in the operational plan, you must enable them under viewing options.
